One of our major ongoing priorities is to make soccer more welcoming to anyone new to the sport.
We have beginner leagues that are a perfect place to start your soccer journey. But, if you’re looking to get some practice under your belt first, we have a partnership with BetterPlayer, a soccer practice program, as well.

NYC Footy has more leagues in more locations than any recreational soccer program in the nation. For this reason, we have a strategic registration window that helps our team operate as efficiently as possible.
At times our registration opens a week or more after other recreational programs in NYC, leading you to ask yourself if it’s risky waiting for NYC Footy to open if you’re eager to join a rec program.
With over 50 locations per season, we promise it’s worth the wait. But most importantly, we want you to find the best league for you. Please just email us at info[at]nycfooty.com and ask if the league you are interested in will be available and if it’s likely you’ll get a spot.
If your availability isn’t flexible and we believe the league will have little to no availability (we give priority to returning teams), we’ll be honest and let you know. But most likely we’ll have a spot for you. -
Nope. It’s similar to asking if all coffee shops are the same.
The quality of the product, the attention to the customer, the values, the brand, etc. It’s all different. This is why it’s important to research which league you feel aligns with your vision of community and provides the best player experience.
A good question to ask yourself is this: Is customer service and community/player culture more important to you than day/location? If so, then you’d do well to research leagues a bit deeper. If not, then pick whichever league lands on the most convenient day of the week and/or most convenient location.
